Playgrounds and Picnics

Cobham Recreational Field and Playground, Lushington Drive, Cobham, KT11 2AY

Downside, Downside Road, KT11 3NA (lovely open space with play area in the middle, near the Cricketers pub for lunch afterwards…)

Littleheath Recreation Ground, Kenilworth Avenue (off Blundell Lane) – more suited to older children/teens

Station Road Recreational Ground, Station Road (just off Stoke Road, opposite the Old Plough pub), Stoke d’Abernon.

Painshill Park is always nice for a picnic – find a nice spot in the meadow or the ampitheatre and take a frisbee or football along. Lovely.

Priory Park, Bell Street, Reigate, RH2 7RL. It may be a bit further away, but Priory Park is really lovely and well worth a visit. Loads of smooth paths ideal for scooting on, a duck pond and a massive play area in a huge sandpit will keep even big kids happy for hours. The onsite cafe offers high quality drinks and food or find your own spot for a picnic on the grass. Short term parking in Bell Street Car Park is limited but you’ll get a space eventually even at busy times.
